Traveling Tools for the Techy Gal
Goodies for the
gal who is always
on the go!!!
Like most of you, I’m always running late somewhere. Having charged devices is top priority, but somehow in the shuffle of getting the baby ready, prepping my drinks, talking and replying to DMs, plus the fact that there are seemingly endless cables going AWOL, all of my devices are hovering around 18% battery life at any given moment.
This past week with launching The Gut Refresh Guide, all my devices and myself are running on low battery. Naturally, I find myself in a real pickle when they inevitably die when I need them the most.
The answer for me has been keeping an organized bag of backup cables, chargers and plugs together in one place that I can toss in the car or my purse as I scramble out the door with reckless abandon. Here are a few products I use and love.
Here’s my techy tools &
accesory round-up
THE TECH BAG
The Dagne Dover dune colored Arlo Tech Pouch is my electronics catchall. It has space for chargers, cords, pens, airpods and my Mophie wireless charger. It’s adorable, water resistant and the quality is seen in the big ol’ zipper and protective exterior.
I put a duplicate of every possible cable and charger so I’m never left in a pickle. Macbook, ipad, iphone, ipods, as well android micro USB cables for my Apple Watch charger and Mophie charger. It’s all in there, ready to save the day. A new addition to my electronics lineup is my charger for my Willow Cordless Breast Pump! #MomMoments
Here are a few other fab tech cases if you’re looking for something smaller

PORTABLE CHARGERS
Mophie wireless charger. Not all chargers are the same. This charger in particular has the charging cable built right into the device and that one detail alone has made this my favorite wireless charger. Finding a cord, packing a cord or untangling a cord- ain’t nobody got time for that. So when I found this pretty little thing with a built-in solution, I was sold. It didn’t hurt that it was an adorable gold color that I could casually flash around. Even sweeter, the Mophie has a dual function charging connection for both iphones and android products.
AIRPODS
Airpods are prioritized in my “never leave the house without” category. I use them for ‘LET’S GUT TOGETHER’ health consults, silently watch Netflix while Coco sleeps, to listen to podcasts while cleaning or yard work and to rock out to music at the gym. Okay I lied, I don’t clean. But if I did, I would TOTALLY use them for that. They don’t have cables that get stuck in my hair or my necklaces and they can’t get caught on equipment or bounce around when I jog. They fit snug as bugs and when Mark wants to question outlandish purchases on our credit card, I just point to the earbuds and shrug and that’s the end of that.
Here are some alternatives for my android friends
APPLE WATCH PORTABLE CHARGER
Wireless, Portable Apple Watch Charger has come in handy more times than I can count. There isn’t a moment in the day where the Apple Watch isn’t useful. So I drive it into the ground and am left naked and afraid without it. The cordless Apple Watch charger is awesome because it magnetizes and charges anywhere I am, which is always on the go. I can leave it in the glovebox charging while I run errands and the car doesn’t have to be on to keep it charging. It needs charging now and again as well so use the Mophie to charge it so it can charge your watch. It’s the vicious but beautiful cycle of life that Mufasa touted in Lion King.
AIRPODS CASE
I could make a case for the importance of the Arlo Tech Pouch keeping all my electronics in one known place because there was a time when I misplaced my AirPods and Ipad Pen every single day. However, I invested in a case for my AirPods case that would attach to my keys. I can’t go anywhere without keys and by default, the AirPods are always in tow.
I’m just a techy girl living in a technology world. I try to turn my phone on airplane mode at night, turn off the blue tooth on my appliances, not wear my apple watch to bed or when I know I won’t be using it. I’m sure there are more things I can do to reduce EMF. If you have blog posts or ideas please post them below!
As always thanks for visiting my little space online
I just love your guts!!
